In 2014, I adopted Winston after being abandoned during one of the coldest winters Wisconsin has seen. Knowing how many dogs there were in need, like Winston, I wanted to do something, anything, to give back to other dogs in situations like his. I put together a single event where I picked beneficiaries to receive 100% of the proceeds. After a successful first event, we had many requests to do another. So we continued annual events for the next two years, creating amazing partnerships, raising awareness, and gaining wonderful friends along the way…including becoming engaged to my best friend, Caitie, who shares the exact same passion and dreams as myself. All of this while learning just how great the need is for help right here in our local communities. After receiving many calls about dogs in need, we decided to start our life-long dream a little early and start fundraising to build our rescue sanctuary.
Our mission is to have our 10+ acre sanctuary so we can rescue our locally abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs. We will work with local groups and organizations, such as MADACC, to provide an opportunity to those dogs who cannot thrive in the shelter environment. We will strengthen our current partnerships even more and make our impact on the fight to end puppy mills and the fight to end dog fighting. We will do our part to educate the public on spay and neuter and raise awareness for dogs as individuals to end breed discrimination. Please join the cause.
